Day 3 ~ At Sea

August 30
Our third day on board the Navigator of the Seas was our first full day at sea. We had read through the compass the night before and the activities manager had so much stuff set up and going throughout the whole day. The first thing we had on our agenda was to get up and get some breakfast then get a fun start on the day. We ended up going down to eat the buffet breakfast at Windjammer, but being the first time cruisers that we were, we didn't realize there were two different restaurants at the same place. We went to were the directory said Windjammer was and started eating. We were a little disappointed in the amount of food that was on the buffet and the variety of the food. We got to looking around and realized that there were a bunch of people walking right past the buffet and into the "back." Once we finished eating we decided to walk back there and see what it was about. That is when we realized we ate at Jade and not Windjammer, there were so many people back there and about triple the amount of food and much better food!

After breakfast we started our fun filled day by heading over to the rock climbing wall. Some of the activities on the boat were only open for certain hours a day, so we planned on hitting up as many of them as we could on the sailing days. We decided to head over to the sports deck and start off on the rock climbing wall since it was open. Since we were there we had a little fun on the sports deck before heading off for something different.

For being afraid of heights he did good
His thinking behind the rock wall was the faster he got to the top the sooner he got back down, so he climbed pretty fast.
But he did make it to the top

Next on the agenda, while on the sports deck, was to play a little table tennis
I have never played before, but we had a really good time. By the end of the trip I was finally kind of getting it down.
Next was another round of putt-putt

REALLY?!?!

We had a good time on the sports deck but once we finished there we headed back to the room to change and head to the pool. The pool was somewhat busy since it was a sailing day but we found a few chairs on the upper deck and enjoyed laying in the sun.

We stayed out by the pool for a few hours before it was time for lunch. We changed and headed to the Windjammer (yes we ate at the right one this time) for lunch. After lunch we decided to go down and talk to guest relations about future cruises and the crown and anchor society (Royal Caribbean's Reward Program). We got all of our questions answered then headed over to Studio B where there the Ice Skating show was getting ready to start.

This guy was crazy

Once the Ice Skating show was over there was a game of Bingo getting ready to start in the Ixtapa Lounge. The game was for a $300 cash prize, so we headed there next to try out luck. Needless to say we didn't win that game.

By the time Bingo was over it was getting a little late and time for dinner so John and I headed up to Johnny Rockets. We had talked about it earlier in the cruise and decided that one of the days we wanted to eat up there just for a good American hamburger and fries.

Our day was finally winding down which meant it was time for that nights show. We went over to the Metropolis Theater and grabbed a seat for the concert. That night there was an Italian Singer performing. He was pretty good, he switched between Italian and American songs the whole time. It wasn't my favorite show of the whole trip but it was still entertaining.

John really wanted to head over to the casino for a little while before bed, so once the show was over he hit up the black jack table. He played for a little while then it was time to head to bed and get ready for our next exciting day!
