A Day at the Lake

After a long week at home we were able to find some time to relax at the lake for a day. We hadn’t been to the lake in about 2 years so it was nice to finally be back in the boat out on the water. Although, we remembered real fast why we normally don’t go in June. I think the water was about 40 degrees, when you jumped in it felt like you were jumping into a bucket of ice water. The sun was shining most of the day, so you dried off and warmed back up pretty quick. We had fun just riding around, skiing and innertubing.

For a quick update on John. He has started shift work, so he is working some days and some nights so that is taking some time to get used to. We get to talk to each other at least once a day sometimes more depending on which shift he is on, so that helps a lot with being apart. I just can’t wait to see him again in August.
