Don and Megan!!

When John and I first got orders to Italy, family and friends said they were going to save up and come see us before we head back to the states. Back in May we had good friends, Adam and Amanda, out here for a couple of weeks, then my family was out here for a couple of weeks, then in late June John's family was out here. Now it is Don and Megan's turn. Megan called me a while back and asked when a good time to come visit us would be, and then Don ended up going back to a sub that was getting ready for a deployment. They decided the best time would be as soon as he got back, and his deployment started in March, so the best time for them was in October. Luckily Don's deployment didn't get extended and they were able to get out here before the weather gets too bad.

Megan and Don flew in Oct 8 and they are getting ready to leave in a couple of days. We have had a great time with them and are so glad they were able to make the trip to see us, since they live in Hawaii, that is one heck of a flight!

Even though John and I still have to work we are managing to spend as much time as we can with them. We have had the chance to do quite a few things with them; Rome, Sorrento, Alberobello, Zoo Safari, Indiana Park, Herculaneum, and tomorrow we are headed to Paestum. They have even had the chance to see Paris, London, Cinque Terre, Pisa and Florence.

I am sad to see them leave on Saturday but so happy they were able to come see us!!
