Ireland - Day 4 - Dun Laoghaire

When John and I woke up Monday, Sept 20 we found out what Roy and Ben had gone through the night before. After we all left them on the side of the road waiting for the tow truck their night just kept getting better. I am not real sure where the tow truck took them but it wasn't the car rental place, so then Roy and Ben had to call a cab to take them to the rental place to get a new car. Since it was 1 in the morning they didn't have a car big enough for them and they couldn't complete the contract so they asked them to come back the next morning to get a bigger car and fill out the contract.

Since they had to go back into Dublin to get the car mess all figured out we all kind of did our own thing. Beth had some homework that she had been working on and it was due that morning so she was going to stay at the house and work on that while the guys took the boys with them to work on the car. Since they were all occupied with things John and I decided to go into Dun Laoghaire (pronounced Done Leary) and mess around for the morning. We all decided we would meet back up at the cottage around noon or a little before so we could head out for the afternoon together.

John and I had a great time in Dun Laoghaire and I was wishing I had a lot more time to mess around there. It was a nice little town, with a great walking path that ran alongside the water. Dun Laoghaire also has a nice harbor, with tons of boats. We got a few pictures around town before it was time to head back to the cottage.

When we got back to the cottage a little before noon the guys still weren't home. Beth was pretty much done with her homework so we were just waiting on the guys. We messed around for about an hour then finally called the car rental place to try and find the guys. They didn't have a cell phone with them because Roy left his phone with Beth so she could have the internet for her homework. When John called the car rental place Roy and Ben were still there, and having a few issues with the car, but they were finally getting ready to leave so we all agreed to meet up at the Dundrum Center food court for lunch before heading out for the afternoon.

Once, John, Beth, Sequoia and I got to the food court we waited around for about a half or so and the others never got there. We didn't have a way to get a hold of them so we didn't know if they were lost or not. We went ahead and grabbed and seat and ordered some lunch while we continued waiting. Right before our food got there the rest of the guys finally showed up. So we all ate lunch and got ready to head out for some more sightseeing around Ireland.
