Monday morning was an exciting morning, there was fresh snow everywhere and everyone was ready to get to the mountain. We had to stop at the rental place real quick on the way up so Megan and Don could get their board rentals, then we made the hour drive up to Winter Park. Once we got to the mountain everyone kind of went in different directions. The 4 little ones were all taking ski lessons so their parents had to get them all signed up and ready. Then Megan and Don where taking snow board lessons so they took off, then the rest of us headed on up the mountain. We spent the whole day on the mountain then headed back to Evergreen for dinner.
All 16 of us stuck together for dinner and we ate at a restaurant called Beau Jo’s. Megan had a friend that used to live in Colorado and recommended this place and said they had some really good pizza. When dinner was over I think most everyone agreed that the food was pretty good but the service was a different story. It’s not that the service was bad it was just different. I think we all agreed with the saying that Denver is the Mile High City, and don’t because of elevation. Everyone at Beau Jo’s, other restaurants, and other places of business were all feeling pretty good.
After dinner Bri, Lindsey, Mom and I sat in the hot tub for a little while. The hotel we stayed at had an outdoor hot tub so it was cool to sit out there. Yes it was in the 20s or so at nights and there was snow on the ground but that is what made it so fun. I think it also helped with sore muscles from the long day of skiing.
Tuesday was a repeat Monday for the most part. We headed up to Winter Park and skied the day away again. When the mountain closed we headed into the town of Winter Park and had a little more fun. They had a place that did snow tubing so every but mom and dad had a blast with that. Mom and dad stayed at the bottom and took pictures.
When our hour was over we grabbed some dinner and headed back to the hotel to sit in the hot tub again.
Pictures will be up later in a web album.. there are too many to try and put them on the page so i will put a link up when I get it finished.
